Retired DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Detective Lt. Robbo Davidson is awakened night after night by ghosts of his investigations' past.

"I ruminate on those old investigations, realizing some things seen stain the brain as surely as the iron-laden soil of western Louisiana forever changes the color of whatever it touches. You cannot wash red dirt out of clothing, and you cannot unsee what you have seen."

The retired detective resolves to give voice to his ghosts in this collection of true crime stories straight from his case files.

What an audiobook and life Robert Davidson has lived as a cop. Some of the stories are quite horrific. The narrator does a good job conveying the difference between the characters involved. Highly recommend for True Crime fans who want to know a cops work and how they handle it
