**NOW A MAJOR PRIME TV SERIES STARRING ALAN RITCHSON**

North Carolina. New Year's Day, 1990. A soldier is found dead in a sleazy motel bed.

Jack Reacher is the officer on duty. The soldier turns out to be a two-star general.

The situation is bad enough, then Reacher finds the body of the general's wife.

This stomach-churning thriller turns back the clock to a younger Reacher, in dogtags. A Reacher who still believes in the service. A Reacher who imposes army discipline. Even if only in his own pragmatic way...

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, The Enemy is 8th in the series.

'There's only one Jack Reacher. Accept no substitutes' Mick Herron

'The thing about Lee Child's books is that you can't put the damn things down. . .there's something about his writing that's addictive. The Enemy is no exception. . .Superb.' Independent on Sunday

Complex, classy crime
One of the best writers in this genre ... And nobody does it better
The thing about Lee Child's books is that you can't put the damn things down... there's something about his writing that's addictive. The Enemy is no exception...Superb
Lee Child fans will love this prequel to the bestselling Jack Reacher novels. At last Child shares the events that shaped the maverick hero of his last six novels into an ass-kicking, irreverent good guy. If you're one of the few people who haven't sampled the sublime thrill of a Child novel, this blast from the past is the best place to start
An unforgettable hero...may be the best Reacher book yet
Packs a Dirty Harry wallop...Lean, dynamic storytelling
Possibly Child's best Reacher novel yet
Another great book for him, gives us hero Jack Reacher's back-story. Hurrah (Kate Atkinson)
Lee Child writes a good story, twisting it into labyrinthine folds and keeping his readers guessing right to the end. He has obviously done his research
Utterley irresistible, proof that there is no substitute...

This is one of the best Reacher's in the whole series. Period! I've listened and read most of them but this is absolutely amongst my favourites.

One of the best

Memorable characters, a superlative, thought-provoking story about the times in which we live, and superlatively read.

Lots of twists and turns but Reacher comes good (as always). I do have to question his executions though; bit harsh

The Army eh!

An entertaining story full of twists and turns read brilliantly by Jeff Harding who enhances the characters and makes it difficult to stop listening.
