Welcome to the Gun Show!

The top 10 list is populated. The sponsorship program is open. The difficulty is ramping up. The first three floors were nothing compared to what Carl and Donut now face.

The Iron Tangle. An impossibly complicated subway system built out of the world's subterranean railway systems, all combined and then tied together into a knot. Up is down. Down is up. Close is far. The cars are filled with monsters, the railway stations are less than safe, and the exit is always just a few stops away.

But there is hope. For the first time, the crawlers are all working together. The loot is better than ever. And the secret to unraveling it all may be hidden in the pages of a seemingly useless book.

Welcome, crawlers. Welcome to the fourth floor of the dungeon.

This is one of the best series I have listen to. Buy, buy, buy.
I have to say, The Critical Drinker (whoever he is) is a dreadful amateurish waste of time, luckily he’s only in it for a few minutes.

Brilliant fun

Following Carl’s near miss at the end of book two, and his promise that this next level will be him grinding his way to strength and levels, we get to see how that gets almost immediately thrown out as the plan.
The unpredictable ways in which the system and the A.I. try to fix and rebalance the game, with Carl as the focus leads to exciting and upsetting encounters with other crawlers and NPC’s alike.
The narration is second to none, and leads to full immersion in the story.
But it now. The only thing you’ll regret is that you have to wait for the next book to be out.

Another amazing instalment.
