 Welcome back to Briar U!
Discover the next generation in this icy-hot spin-off series from The Queen of Hockey Romance, Elle Kennedy!

Read The Dixon Rule now for the perfect enemies-to-lovers romance!

'I told them I had a girlfriend.'
I start to laugh. 'This is the greatest day of my life.'
'Oh, it gets better, Dixon. I told them it was you.'

Diana Dixon has a lot going on this summer. She's rehearsing for a ballroom dance competition, juggling two jobs, and dealing with an ex-boyfriend who can't take the hint it's over. Yet despite all that, she still has plenty of time and energy to tell Shane Lindley to screw off.

Shane just moved into her apartment building and seems dedicated to sleeping his way through her entire cheerleading squad. Sure, he's a tall, gorgeous hockey player, but he's messing with her turf. This calls for some ground rules: no parties in her apartment, leave her teammates alone, and - most importantly - leave her alone.

What Diana doesn't realize is that Shane's sick of hook-ups and tired of being on the rebound after his long-term girlfriend called it quits. He wants a relationship. And when his ex comes back into the picture, he pretends he has one to make her jealous . . . and who better to play the girlfriend role than his sassy new neighbour?

Despite Diana's reluctance to break her rule, a fake relationship is the perfect solution for her own ex issues, and soon she can't deny something is sizzling between her and Shane. Something hot and completely unexpected.
And it might just be getting a little too real.

I have read the off campus series, I read the Graham effect, now I just finished the Dixon rule.

To start off with it was simple, just a very straight forward fake dating, I want to start off with the level of spice this book released, and I have to say, I thought I loved the score but Shane and Diana just took Elle Kennedys writing to the next level!! I mean the dominance between them to I mean, and that scene between them and will, I never knew ms Kennedy could write such as scene like that! But I top my hat off to the woman

I have never laughed so much in my entire life with just the banter, and every time Diana removed Shane from the group chat had me in hysterical tears 😂😂

I had to say I did lose interest half way though, but the way she handled the situation with Percival (god even that name is a GIANT red flag) I loved Shane’s protective side, and the death of his father, I thought I balled like a baby when she killed Baeu off in the score but Shane’s dad man, that scene between him and his father gutted me!

On another note, loved the guest appearances from Garrett, Logan, tucker and Dean along with the new kids such as Blake (god I love that girl) and beau jr I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next gen

Overall I binged this book in a day, may I add I was a bit skeptical at first with Corvin king for the audiobook but for the first time in forever I loved the performance with himself and Erin Mallon ❤️

These stories are all great, but I absolutely love Erin's narration on this book. I slagged her off once a few years years ago for her narration on a book, but she's since become one of my favourites and she absolutely makes this one.

I got this immediately after reading the Graham Effect. It did not disappoint, the narrators were incredible, the story was *chef’s kiss*, I was laughing, crying and in just pure awe. The story is a lot more in depth and emotional/realistic, you could feel what the characters feel.

Would 100% recommend!
