You're broke. You have no way to pay your rent, and you're about to be evicted.

Fortunately, your friend has offered you a job working as a waitress at a dinner party . . . at an isolated mansion way out on Peyton's Peak. The money will be enough to cover two months' rent and get you back on your feet. It's a golden opportunity that will solve all your problems.

But the whole thing sounds really sketchy. The money is great, but there's got to be some sort of awful catch. You should probably turn it down.

As it turns out, the choice is yours. YOU get to decide if you want to go to the creepy dinner party or stay home and read a book. YOU can decide if you want to pick up the disheveled hitchhiker on the side of the highway. YOU can choose to go left or right at the fork in the road. For once, the decision is entirely in your hands. So what are you going to do?????

Really didn’t enjoy this. Liked the idea of choosing different endings but the choices were uninteresting. The plot wasn’t engaging and the story line felt as if had been written by a person in early teenage years.

Gave up halfway through the book, not an interesting storyline. Was very dull and boring. Not my idea of good reading.

Only word to describe this book is terrible. I have now listened to all her books but wish I'd given this a miss

Was really hoping that this would be an interesting optional story, as do really like Frieda’s books.
Yet found it to be the most shocking, ridiculous book ever! Awful story with fictional creatures. Would be aimed more at early teens than adults.
Very disappointed that I used a credit and feel it was wasted as got the first ‘The End’ within less than 7 minutes. If this had been the first book by Frieda, I wouldn’t be getting any more.

Interesting concept, very much of the 1970s or 1980s interactivity, but very silly storyline, extremely weak, very disappointing from this author. I feel she is producing too many books and is running out of ideas and starting to become rather silly, and starting to class killing someone as no big deal. Dear Debbie is another example. Don’t waste your money.
