I really cannot critique the book because I gave up after a couple of hours. Sorry, I just couldn’t STAND the narrators voice. Worse I’ve ever heard.

it went on too long with an obvious ending. but an interesting afterword where the author shares how his research found real creatures that he based his monsters on. For me that was the best bit of the book!!

The plot was very good and the book fast-paced, but it would have profited from better editing and proofing. There are many examples of where things could have been tighter or corrected ... "he mumbled a silent prayer" being a case in point. At times the narrator sounded like he was sucking his teeth or on oxygen!

Beck universe getting larger, as it should. I wish to see Alex Hunter, but Drake is an awesome heroic character. I wanted adventure and I got more than I bargained for.

This is one Hell of a story.
