Great conclusion to an epic series

Great idea but the story lacked depth and it never really got going… last few chapters got more interesting but after such a long book ( with many pointless side stories that led no where) i felt it was too rushed. Ok to listen to in background or on a long journey but was boring at times. Narrator mixed up the dodgy accents and it was hard to determine who was ‘speaking’ at times! But was well read. 6/10 overall for me.. shame as showed promise

Mixed up Accents!

what a tease it was to have great characters from other books in the universe be mentioned but not interact, that was such a let down

It was ok but the weakest of the trilogy

Good characters and nice story arc. Follows the hero from childhood to developing his skills/power. Magic and swordplay, what more could you want!

Great storyline

The trilogy was building nicely. A couple of new characters were introduced and all was well. Then the obvious story climax felt like it was about to hit. I looked at how long was left - maybe an hour or a few chapters. So at that point I'd assumed that there was actually going to be a uther book.

Nope. The author must've been in a rush to get this published or something because, without spoiling, the end was so sudden and unsatisfying. Really really poor. Which is a real shame as I've enjoyed many of the books from this world and was about to go into the Wulfric ones. Now I'm a bit hesitant.

Awful rushed end to the trilogy
