Raven Black is a half-Vampire, half-Mage who is living a rogue life until she's offered a job with Keystone—a covert organization that hunts outlaws. While their assignments are fraught with peril, the greatest danger Raven faces is falling for her partner. Can she trust a man with a heart blacker than her own?

What's included:

KEYSTONE (Book 1) When a Russian shifter offers Raven a job in his covert organization hunting outlaws, dignity, and a respectable career are finally within her grasp. The catch? Her new partner is Christian Poe—a smug, handsome Vampire whom she'd rather stake than go on a stakeout with.

RAVENHEART (Book 2) Dead bodies are popping up in the human district, and all signs point to a Breed serial killer. In order to catch him, Raven and Christian embark on a mission that takes their partnership into uncharted waters.

DEATHTRAP (Book 3) A new case offers Raven a much-needed distraction when Keystone accepts their toughest assignment yet—to track down an elusive criminal who's selling children on the black market.

I read the books before, have not finished the series so thought I could catch up to my spot with the audiobooks. The narration is not the best. I don’t blame the narrator because there are 10-15 characters per book, so it really should have been a duo, or graphic audio, because I don’t think anyone has the vocal range to do that many unique voices so consistently. 5-7 characters can sometimes be in the same conversation. Props to the narrator for the valiant effort.

However, I also have trouble matching this voice to Raven, the MC. She was young when she turned, and this voice sounds a little too mature and clean for the grungey, battle-savvy Raven. Perfect for Blue though.
That aside, the world building has always appealed to me in this universe. The magic system is well thought out and balanced, and the crossbreeds add the exception to those established rules in a way that allows the world to maintain an element of unpredictability. The Mageri series is also worth a read. Highly recommend.

Nice Lore/ worldbuilding
