The perfect escape....

Gabrielle Adams has it all - brains, beauty, a handsome fiancé and a dream job in publishing.

Until, one day, everything changes.

The ‘Underground Killer’ takes his victims when they least expect it: standing on the edge of a busy Tube platform, as they wait for a train to arrive through the murky underground tunnels of London.

Gabrielle soon learns that being a survivor is harder than being a victim, and she struggles to return to her old life. Desperate to break free from endless nightmares, she snatches up an opportunity to run a tiny bookshop in a picturesque cove in rural Cornwall.

She thinks she’s found the perfect escape, but has she swapped one nightmare for another?

Suspense and mystery are peppered with romance and humour in this fast-paced thriller, set amidst the spectacular Cornish landscape.

Only read L J Ross Ryan books which are brilliant. Not hard to believe she can turn her writing to just about anything and capture the reader. Hope it’s not too long before her next work😀

Ok read for traveling as easy to pick up. Locations cosy but characters and plot predictable. Slightly dull /slow in parts.

I live down the road from Kynance Cove. If only the narrator had pronounced it right! It grated on me hearing it pronounced "Carnance". I thought it was getting a bit bland but then bam!! The story picked up and I was truly hooked. It's been a while since an audiobook narrator and storyline has got me feeling scared but this did! It's utterly brilliant and I am so glad I stuck with it through a chapter or two where I thought it was just going to be one of those day to day nothing really happens storys.
The narrator has a clean, crisp manner and a sense of mild urgency which goes well with this story. The author’s descriptions are fantastic. RECOMMENDED!

Kynance!

A light romance dressed up as a thriller. Characters shallow and very little suspense. Very disappointing.
