Tiffany is a highly successful dancer. She graduated from Julliard and has many opportunities. That said it has been 10 years since she has been home, and she misses it. She decides to return to the small town of Winterberry Peak in Colorado. She thinks she might stay and open her own dance studio to teach the next generation.
Tiffany knew John when she lived in Winterberry Peak. He was her ex's best friend, as well as her dance partner. While Tiffany left to pursue her ambitions, John stayed. He own and runs a bakery, and is a single father, having lost his wife some years past.
As it happens, the town is having a Christmas dance contest, and both Tiffany and John are encouraged to sign up. When they are paired up, they are forced to spend time together to learn the dance. They discover that they have a great deal of chemistry but John lives with the mistakes of his past, as well as the memory of his deceased wife. He is also afraid that Tiffany will return to her life at the end of the holiday season, and leave him with a broken heart. Fortunately, with time, and a little help from John's daughter, the two find their way to one another.
I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook narrated by Challen Cates. I enjoyed the tone of her voice and her narration skills. Her performance helped bring the characters to life, and added to my appreciation of the story.
