"Lily?" My stomach dropped as a tall, dark-haired man stepped into view. Had he been hiding between the trees? "No. Sorry." Gulping, I took a step back. "I'm not Lily." He shook his head, a satisfied grin on his face. "No. You are Lily." "I'm Summer. You have the wrong person."

You utter freak! I could hear my pulse crashing in my ears. How stupid to give him my real name. He continued to stare at me, smiling. It made me feel sick. "You are Lily," he repeated. Before I could blink, he threw his arms forward and grabbed me. I tried to shout, but he clasped his hand over my mouth, muffling my screams. My heart raced. I'm going to die.

For months, Summer is trapped in a cellar with the man who took her - and three other girls: Rose, Poppy, and Violet. His perfect, pure flowers. His family. But flowers can't survive long cut off from the sun, and time is running out....

Probably would not read anything else from this author again. The actual story was interesting but the way of telling it was very week. Everything was stated as a matter of fact. That's life... just get on with it.
Norrators were good.

Did not grab me!

I felt the ending was rushed , not much was resolved , nothing much really happened summer was written to have had long lasting trauma which is understandable but we could have dive a lot more into her slow descent into it …

Could have been better .

Really loved the whole concept of the book, I was never bored and always gripped and read it very quickly. BUT. Was not a fan of the readers and was really disappointed with how rushed the ending felt.
That being said- thoroughly enjoyed it.

Loved the storyline

Couldn’t stop listening, was dying to know what was going to happen. Nearly googled the ending because I was so intrigued but I managed to stop myself!
Didn’t like the narration unfortunately but got over it. It was very stilted.

Gripping story
