Addictive listening, this is the story of the inexorable rise of this thing called celebrity, crammed with previously unheard of stories from the likes of Victoria and David Beckham, Kate Moss, Pete Doherty, Amy Winehouse, Britney Spears, Cheryl Cole, Jordan, Will Young, Teri Hatcher, and more.
In 2000, Mark was tasked with turning around the fortunes of an entertainment magazine that was just two months away from closure. He did it - by sweet-talking Victoria Beckham into giving him an interview and stealing a Robbie Williams exclusive from another magazine and essentially inventing the now familiar mix of celebrity photos, confessionals, rumour and gossip.
As celebrity obsession took hold of the nation sales of Heat topped 500,000 a week. Heat was there for the incredible rise and fall of Big Brother, and started the Size Zero debate. Tony Blair even agreed to appear topless in their pages. In green rooms and VIP lounges celebrities have confided in Mark, hurled abuse at him, and have been highly indiscreet in his presence. The Celeb Diaries is the exposé of the celebrity world.
