The Cain Redemption

Shot in the head and recovering from brain surgery, Delta Force soldier Thomas Nelson wakes up in a military hospital unable to remember who he is. Faced with going through recovery alone, with no family that he's aware of, he is recruited by a top secret government agency. Project Specter is tasked with eliminating targets they deem to be a threat to the United States. Their goal is to turn Nelson into a super assassin named Matthew Cain.

Follow along with Cain's journey as he transitions into a lethal government operative and battles criminal forces, as well as finding out a secret that could undermine everything.

Fast paced. Lots of twists and turns. Good narration throughout. Possibly somewhat improbable in places!

I generally love these ‘one man on a mission’ stories. This was hard work however. The story was terrible and the voice killed it all together. Stopped 25% of the way in.

A disappointment

The story is not plausible nor is it well written. Too much time is taken with the love story between the main character and a reformed stripper. The leaps of convenience that occur are threaded all through this set and consequently makes this whole story rather silly.

This is a love story not an assassin thriller.
