The Thriller Award-winning series continues as Detective Jude Fontaine finds a decades-old connection to missing children that will freeze her blood.

A boy’s frozen body is found trapped in the ice of a Minneapolis lake. The horrifying discovery leads Detective Jude Fontaine and her partner, Uriah Ashby, to more bodies in the ice, all of twelve-year-old boys missing for twenty years.

Then, in one of the worst blizzards the city has ever seen, a four-year-old is abandoned on Jude’s doorstep. The child can’t tell them where he’s from, who his parents are, or how he got there. He doesn’t even know his name.

But in his unspoken language, Jude reads something horrifying - a connection to the dead boys. Now a four-year-old with no name may be the only key to a twenty-year-old, very cold case.

This is the third book in the series and I absolutely love them. It is well written and flows nicely, and your always wondering what's going to happens next. The narrator is not awful but I'm not a big fan and I am used to her and is now. Would definitely recommend this series and I would say start at book one because all the stories connect and follow on from each other.

Another Hit!

I’ve listened to this trilogy one book after another. 5/5 every time for the story and the oration. Highly recommende books.

History repeating itself

This author is brilliant, deserves far more attention. Her characterisation is superb, great plot and pace. I love Jude, Uriah and Elliott the 3 main characters.
It’s dark, it may have triggers for some, avoids being graphic. If you love psychological thrillers based on crime I can’t recommend this one highly enough. Best to start with book 1, The Body Reader.

In my books of the year

Have just finished the last of the three books, having never read this author was pleasantly impressed. I enjoyed the way you warmed to the main characters and the storyline and plots were original. Thoroughly enjoyed all three books.

I have loved reading this trilogy, but if there are any more instalments coming, that would be great.

These books are easy to get into and keep you interested through out.

Excellent read full of twists and turns
