The Atlas Complex marks the much-anticipated, heart-shattering conclusion in Olivie Blake's trilogy that began with the internationally bestselling dark academic phenomenon, The Atlas Six.

Only the extraordinary are chosen. Only the cunning survive.

An explosive return to the library leaves the six Alexandrians vulnerable to the lethal terms of their recruitment.

Old alliances quickly fracture as the initiates take opposing strategies as to how to deal with the deadly bargain they have so far failed to uphold. Those who remain with the archives wrestle with the ethics of their astronomical abilities; elsewhere, an unlikely pair partner to influence politics on a global stage.

And still the outside world mobilizes to destroy them — while the Caretaker himself, Atlas Blakely, may yet succeed with a plan foreseen to have world-ending stakes. It’s a race to survive as the six Society recruits are faced with the question of what they're willing to betray for limitless power — and who will be destroyed along the way.

The Atlas Six introduces six of the most devious, talented, and flawed characters to ever find themselves in a magical library, and then sets them against one another in a series of stunning betrayals and reversals. As much a delicious contest of wit, will, and passion as it is of magic, this book is half mystery, half puzzle, and wholly a delight (Holly Black, author of Book of Night on The Atlas Six)
Lethally smart. Filled with a cast of brilliantly realized characters, each entangled with one another in torturously delicious ways, The Atlas Six will grip you by the throat and refuse to let go. Olivie Blake is a mind-blowing talent (Chloe Gong, author of These Violent Delights on The Atlas Six)
The Atlas Six will thrill those who love twisted plots, twisted relationships, and morally grey characters ready to kill for knowledge and power. Dark, ambitious, and engaging (H. G. Parry, author of The Magician's Daughter on The Atlas Six)
Blake brilliantly uses fantasy trappings, and plenty of cliff hangers and twists, to tell a story that leaves readers questioning everything they believe to be true in the world she has created (Library Journal on The Atlas Paradox)

The voice performances were excellent. The book itself uses so many words to say a whole lot of nothing, much like the two previous books in the series. The ending of this series goes out of its way to deny every possible emotional payoff for the audience. I would not recommend the book to my worst enemies, but I would recommend checking out the audiobook narrators in other projects because they were all great.

Great narration and cast but unsatisfying ending

Words cannot express how disappointed I am at the ending of this series. It could have been so good. There was way too much rambling for the first 10 hours. Yes correct I said 10 hours talking and forming alliances. And the she just starts killing off certain characters. It could have been so much more. Anti climactic.

The end

I didn't enjoy this one I had read the other two and was looking forward to it, maybe it would have been better to read it myself.

Disappointing

This being the third instalment I was hoping for some grand finale but it certainly did not give me that. Which is perhaps the point of the story but it left me so disappointed. The style of writing is pompous, often using repetitions to make a point and I found that extremely tedious. Most of the characters were adrift and completely self absorbed, pointless to a fault.

Finally, I do not understand why there were so many voice actors involved and why they were all reading with a different pace. I get that the tone of voice pertained to the character but some of it was so unnecessarily languid that I had to listen on double speed just to get through. Overall a rather disappointing experience.

Pompous for no apparent reason

After loving the first novel in this trilogy and enduring the blandness of the second, I had high hopes that this third installment would answer all of the loose ends of the first two and give a satisfying ending. Sadly, this was not the case. This book comes across as chaotic, indecisive and hectic. While I can agree with the author's message whether intentional or not, that love in its many forms is complex and that human nature is often selfish, the way in which the characters become overly entangled just came across as indecisive and led me to become less engaged with them. A very disappointing end to the trilogy and one I'm sadly glad is done.
