On a distant mining colony, Samantha Weaver is in line for a promotion, and is working hard to have hope for the future.

She came to this desolate place to give her sickly brother Aiden a better life, but is it really better? Sometimes she wonders how best to help him, and if they made the right decision.

Their mundane existence is blown apart from the moment the monstrous creatures breach the mines. The colony descends into chaos. All the workers are trapped, abandoned by the very administrators who once drove them to exhaustion.

Together, Sam and Aiden must fight their way through blood-stained hallways, where every shadow hides claws and every move could be their last.

The walls are breached. The colony is lost. Survival is all that's left.

When the legendary Starborn warriors arrive, the survivors dare to hope. But these newcomers are not intent on rescue. Whatever they came for—it’s worth more than every survivor begging for salvation.

From acclaimed artist and creator Jazza (Josiah) Brooks comes a relentless, pulse-pounding story of monsters, mystery, and the devastating price of protecting the ones you love.

I listened to half the book in one day, I tried to slow down after seeing I only had 6 hours left but two days later here I am crying after listening to the end of book 1. Listening to this book I found myself, as usual, trying to predict how things will go and I failed every time. The twists Jazza has created are not easily seen coming. There is brilliant character development throughout, especially with the main protagonist Sam. It's good to see a female protagonist who hasn't been created perfect right of the bat so that she can have development. The entire story is honestly the most beautiful one I've ever listened to, heightened by the voice acting of Helen Keeley and Jazza. I'll definitely listen again and take notes the second time so I can properly learn the time system Jazza created, and remember the names of the different Starborn. And once I get paid I'll definitely buy the physical copy to help encourage Jazza to continue. Can't wait for book 2!!

Watched Jazza for years on YT, when I saw he was writing a book I was hyped. From start to finish I was hooked, though his inspirations are obvious his story and descriptions are clearly his own. Loved Book 1 and can't wait for Book 2. Jazza you've smashed it!

When's Book 2 coming!?

Let's start this odd with a simple statement.

This isn't my typical genre that I read. I like my epic and urban fantasy books and have as a whole steered clear of Scifi.

That being said. This book by Jazza. this Wonderful emotional Shit show. This is a masterpiece.

A Warhammer inspired book, based on his own creation. The Space Bears. and his telling of this horror, scifi, fantasy thriller has truly opened my eyes as a person and a writer.

No longer will I put aside books from scifi and other genres for, if other books are written like this. i truly have missed out as a reader.

The Threadweaver series will be a stepping stone. not just for Jazza but other writers who want to experiment. the amount of detail and effort gone into this book is obvious.

The characters feel real. their growth is visible as the story goes on. and damn. they are flawed. so many a writer forgets that no one is perfect. Jazza did not forget this. his characters are real people with flaws in their character. but this story shows them overcome their issues. overcome their shortcomings, all while trying to survive the starving hoards of their enemy.

Jazza you should be proud of this book.

Thanks for listening to my Ted talk XD
