Tensions are rising in the run up to the island event of the year - the Vik Show. Not only has the secret recipe for Mrs Hay’s peppermint slices been stolen, but someone has had the bad manners to leave a dead body in the distillery. And what does any of this have to do with the disappearance of Elsie the librarian?

A perfect storm of past secrets and political conspiracy is brewing, and it’s up to the local weight-loss group, Losers Club, to save the day.©2022 Yvonne Vincent (P)2023 W. F. Howes Ltd Amateur Sleuths Cosy Dedektif Kadın Kurgu Literature & Fiction Mystery Women Sleuths Kurgu Esprili

I absolutely love these books. You have mystery and so much laughter! My husband keeps asking me why am I laughing! The whole series has been a joy! I can’t wait to read/hear the next one!!! Wish some TV providers would read them so that we can have fun & a detective stories on telly without to much sex or really horrid violence!!!

These books are the best fun I’ve had for ages.

As always the narration was excellent. I felt the 2nd book wasn’t as good as the first but this one was back up to par. It nicely tied bits from previous stories together. The characters continue to develop and I just love the sergeant! Good story and good pace. I hated finishing it.

Excellent narration of a very amusing story and brilliant characters
