Experience the final chapter of Ahren's epic, PLATIN-awarded adventure.

Ahren's enormous undertaking to unite the thirteen Paladins has, following years of dangerous journeying, come to a successful conclusion. Now there is only one task left for him to complete. He must lead the Champions of the gods, his other friends, and the free peoples of Jorath in an assault on the Obsidian Fortress. Yet the Adversary is intent on foiling his archenemies' plan before they reach his hordes lurking behind the compound walls. The Dark god's scheme is to spring the trap that was set centuries earlier in preparation for just such an event . . .

I think that changing readers part way through is not a good idea, however they brought back the original person which was very good.

Great story, well written and read

This was a perfect finale to a spectacular saga.
I loved the whole series (with the exception of Book 11 where they substituted the usual narrator, Gilart Jackson with a far inferior one) but even the storyline in that one was extremely good.
I would love to see this brought to life on screen in a Game of Thrones-style production. it would be truly outstanding.

Masterful

The preceding books led us deeper in the story and our relationship with the 13 and partners in this epic story. The writer managed to spin more elaborating stories within that I lost it sometimes. The amount of violence and battles were like an overflowing pan. It was too much for me and thus I did not listen much to it. Sorry.
But, all in all the story was good and kept me interested.

End of a long march

I have so enjoyed over a few months the amazing tale of the 13th. Gilhart rendition & portrayal of the characters was incredible and so enjoyable.
Only book 11 that had a different narrator marred the series as it was so difficult to follow that I then skipped in the end to the next book with relief to have familiar portrayal of the characters that I had become used to.
Would thoroughly recommend this series.
