Flora Buchanan doesn’t think a relationship is an option. A variety of mental health issues - anxiety, OCD, and PTSD - make it seem impossible to find love. Instead, she seeks joy in the one thing that is safe and ordered: her sweet shop in Glasgow.

Mac Sharkey is ready to start a new life after being released from jail. As part of the infamous Sharkey family, she took care of business on the edge of the law for the once criminal, and now legitimate, empire. After being sentenced to jail time her cousin should have shared, she’s promised a quiet life running her dream barber shop.

Flora and Mac are bound together by a night that changed their lives two years before and never thought they’d ever see each other again. But when Mac opens up her barber shop right next to Flora’s sweet shop, their connection comes roaring back.

This is a delightful beautiful slow burn romance, between a gentle autistic lady and a hard fighting mob butch. An opposites attract, butch n fem, swoon romance, and it's fab. ♥️
A mobster family that turns good, they look after the people, the town and say NO to drugs!
This is Excellent in story and narration. A pure joy to listen to. 🎶

AN EMOTIONAL JOURNEY. ♥️

I have yet to be disappointed by a Jenny Frame book, I've loved them all and this one is no exception, damn I am suck a sucker for a tough butch with a heart of gold and no one writes them better than Frame!

It was excruciating listening to the English version of a Glasgow accent. It really took away from the story. My last 2 books were set in Ireland with an Irish narrator, great, and Yorkshire with guess what a Yorkshire narrator.
Get with it Audible

Don’t we have Scottish narrators?
