Isobel Swan, a sixth form student, has been murdered. First, her ring finger is severed, then her throat is cut.

With the investigation going nowhere fast, Detective Inspector Nick Dixon is sent undercover as a trainee teacher into Isobel’s boarding school.

But to find the killer, he must first confront his inner demons and lay to rest the ghosts lurking in his own past. If he can…

As Dixon digs deeper, the stakes have never been higher and a murder has never felt so personal.

Swansong is the fourth novel in Damien Boyd’s highly addictive crime series.

Another great read. couldn't work out who united until the end. They make a good team. I'm about to download the next book.

Great writing

I'm enjoying this series. Some stories are better than others and this is one of them. My only complaint is that there are too many characters which gets a bit confusing. The narrator is Simon Mattock who is an experienced actor and does a great job doing all the different voices and accents - he's one of the best in the business and really moves the story along to a fast paced conclusion.

Never a dull moment!

A really great listen from beginning to end. Working my way through the series and can't put them down!

DI Nick Dixon goes undercover in this one. Solving this murder takes Dixon back to his past, can he lay some of his own ghosts to rest without losing his job?
I really like the main characters and the strong bond they share especially Monty :-)

The narrator is easy to listen to with a pleasant voice and good delivery.

I'm loving the series (and the narration!), working my way backwards from No.8 since the books were re-recorded by the excellent Mr.Mattacks.
I just hope there'll be some kind of deal on the earlier three books which are much shorter!

A great police procedural
