In the seventh Super SF Double Feature the theme is rocks. Yep. But not "plain old" rocks--one is the mysterious ice-filled planetoid Ceres in the Asteroid Belt, while the other is a palm-sized blue pyramid that's home to a primeval terror that feeds on human fear and death. "Chthonos" details the harrowing journey of a devoted "astrohydrology" expert as she seeks to uncover what's behind the mantle-penetrating water wells of Ceres experiencing repeating series of flow interruptions that almost seemed to be some kind of coded communication.
Dr. Syndia Letawni and her friend Rokan ride a remarkable and frighteningly short-lived manned probe down into the heart of what is possibly the most mysterious body in the solar system. Then in "Souvenir" that deadly blue rock is traced from its discovery by a Pacific Island native thousands of years ago all the way to its return in modern day as the paperweight atop a presidential candidate's desk. So find a good spot to park yourself, grab some tasty refreshments from your home snack bar and enjoy the thrills, scares and utterly strange wonder of the latest installment in the Super SF Double Feature series.
