Özet

The thrilling epic fantasy sequel to No. 1 Sunday Times bestseller, GODKILLER.

War is coming, godkiller.

Gods are forbidden in the kingdom of Middren. Now they are stirring, whispering of war. Godkiller Kissen sacrificed herself to vanquish the fire god Hseth and save her friends, but gods cannot be destroyed so easily – and neither can godkillers.

Reeling from the loss of Kissen, young noble Inara and her little god of white lies, Skedi, seek answers to the true nature of their bond. The secrets they uncover could determine the outcome of the war.

Meanwhile, Elogast, no longer a loyal knight of King Arren, has been charged with destroying the man he once called friend. The king vowed to eradicate all gods, but has now entered into an unholy pact with the most dangerous of them all.

The kingdom is on the brink of destruction. What will they each sacrifice to save it?

This was an absolute pleasure following on from the first Godkiller book. The twists and evolution of the characters and stories was exceptional and truly developed the first book more than I could imagine. The world, characters and storyline are a refreshing and exciting masterclass in fantasy storytelling.

A superv, captivating sequel

When you thought this is it, then there is another twist in the story. I usually don’t like the second books in a series, but this one is well written.

The story is just so good

Worth a listen if you liked the first one and have credit to spare and don't have another series on the go. If not, maybe wait until the reviews are in on the conclusion.

Good, solid sequel, but really just feels like a set up for the last book. It's so short, and not a lot happens compared to the first book. It could easily have just been one decent length story, especially as it currently looks like the final book is 2hrs shorter again. It does kinda feel like they chopped the last book in two to drag it out.

I'm simultaneously a little underwhelmed and excited as the last book still has the potential to be as great and tragic as the first book.🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Not a grimm or dark as it wants you to think it is.

Sunbringer is a great continuation sequel, starting directly after the first book wraps up. It doesn’t have the honour of introducing us to the interesting world and dynamic god system that makes the first book so interesting and I think for that some people didn’t find it as engaging and tbf it’s definitely a middle trilogy book but I really enjoyed it. My only gripe is the narrators delivery is so staccato and dramatic that sometimes it can be a little draining to listen to for a long periods.

Love this series
