Life in a small town can be tough. It can be even tougher when you're a witch whose magic regularly backfires. But Summer Thorne only wants one thing: to create the perfect sanctuary for unwanted animals. Nothing and no one is going to stop her. Not even the sexy sheriff who is determined to shut down her rescue center. And certainly not the laboratory where she illegally obtained her mischievous chimpanzee, Morty.

Sheriff Cooper Carlyle has one goal: to keep his town safe. That includes his stubborn neighbor, Summer, whether she wants him to or not. When the animals of Summer's menagerie get loose and create havoc, he decides enough is enough. But things aren't always as they appear, and Coop stumbles upon the secret the Thorne sisters have been hiding.

Coop and Summer discover Morty holds the key to unlock a 20-year-old mystery surrounding the death of Summer's mother. Now Coop is faced with breaking the law he is sworn to uphold in order to protect Summer and her beloved pet from a threat more dangerous than any of them imagined.

Contains mature themes.

I bought this on kindle and had the option to buy audio too. This is a nice change from my usual authors. I loved the first book and had purchased Autumn and Winter Magic on kindle too. It is a shame no audio for them yet but I will buy when they come out

refreshing change

I don't know how to begin with....
I nearly stopped listening half way through as it got pretty boring. The hardcore erotic language didn't help much. I m far from prude but this was a little o.t.t.
Unfortunately for the presentation wasn't the greatest. The voice was monoton and the switch between female and male was rediculous. I've listened to many books where this is happening but in this case here it put me off.
As 8ve paid for this I finished it off and I am glad I did. Three quarters through it finally got interesting and I now want to know how it goes on.
please don't take my review as a reason for not getting this book. it s my opinion. others have a different one....

hmmmmm

3.2 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ & 1🌶️. Hmm. Not really sure what to say about this, it was pretty slow and there wasn’t really a storyline that interested me. I actually very nearly DNF’d this at around 42%. I pretty much zoned out after but I got through it. I disliked how the characters personality seemed to keep switching, along with their feelings for each other. It was kind of like a small town romance plot but they just added the witches and dr Doolittle type thing after to jazz it up a bit. I did enjoy the Squirrel Mafia. They’re my favourite animals! With this in mind, we never really found out much about the magic and their lifestyle. It was ok, and a quick read but I won’t be continuing the series.
