Today's hottest urban fantasy authors come together in this delicious brew that crackles and boils over with tales of powerful witches and dark magic!

In Charlaine Harris' "Bacon", a beautiful vampire joins forces with a witch from an ancient line to find out who killed her beloved husband.

In "Seeing Eye", by Patricia Briggs, a blind witch helps sexy werewolf Tom Franklin find his missing brother - and helps him in more ways than either of them ever suspected.

And in Jim Butcher's "Last Call", wizard Harry Dresden takes on the darkest of dark powers - the ones who dare to mess with his favorite beer.

For anyone who's ever wondered what lies beyond the limits of reality, who's imagined the secret spaces where witches wield fearsome magic, come and drink deep. Let yourself fall under the spell of this bewitching collection!

Struggled to get through this audio book, the narration just didn't do it for me and apart from the Jim Butcher story, I was hard pressed not to skip forward to the next story! I felt that most of the stories were aimed at the ladies, with romantic liasons with Vampires, the undead etc!

Not for me!

I'm not normally one for short stories but I really enjoyed listening to this collection. It's a good way to discover new authors and also to hear new stories from favourite ones. I'll certainly be checking out some of the contributors.

Excellent listening

Consider this an audiobook equivalent of 'dipping your toe in the water first' before committing to the swim. The field of sci fi fantasy has a bewildering level of choice and I thought this audiobook was brilliant because it gives you a snapshot of authors works to experience all with their own styles. Everyone is bound to find a future favorite author who's works to pursue! The choice of narrators is excellent and each allow you to get lost in the story for a while.
