Still Love by God When You're Falling Apart is a deeply encouraging and heartfelt read. It offers comfort and hope during those moments when life feels overwhelming and everything seems to be falling apart. The message is a powerful reminder that even in our hardest seasons, God’s love remains constant.
What I appreciated most is the book’s uplifting message of faith, strength, and perseverance. It encourages readers not to give up when circumstances become difficult, but to trust that God is still present and working even when we cannot see the bigger picture.

The section about stepping away from constant spiritual self-checking hit me hardest. I know the habit of replaying every mistake and wondering whether I have disappointed God again, but hearing that pattern named so plainly made me feel less alone.

The narration is calm without becoming sleepy, which helped the message sink in. A few ideas felt familiar, but the delivery gave them fresh weight, especially the reminder that rest can be an act of trust rather than another thing to earn.

I really enjoy listening to this because it touches on something very personal for me. In my faith, it sometimes hard to feel that God still loves me through my flaws. But I understand deep down that he loves with an everlasting love, and I never have to feel guilt or shame with my heavenly father. This audiobook is good for women who sometimes forget that God is always there to wipe the tears away.

Honestly, this audiobook was a huge breath of fresh air. I’ve been going through a really rough patch lately and feeling so guilty for not "having it all together," but this felt like a warm, compassionate hug when I needed it most. The narrator's tone is super gentle, and at just over four hours, it’s an easy listen while driving or walking. It really helped me stop beating myself up over my doubts and messiness and reminded me that grace meets you right where you are. If you're feeling burned out or overwhelmed by spiritual perfectionism, I can't recommend this enough.

So, this book did indeed speak to my soul. I really thought it would be overly religious or “churchy”. Don’t get me wrong, there are quotes from the Bible and the author does talk about God and his love for his creations. But it’s not overbearing. The author shares “memoir moments” at the beginning of each chapter, where she talks about her depression, anxiety, panic attacks and the added stress of trying to hide it in front her other people. The descriptions she tells of her panic attacks and struggles are relatable to anyone who has ever experienced these situations. Her statement, “That is the insidious nature of the weight that nobody sees. It doesn’t leave a scar; it doesn’t require a cast or sling. It is a quiet heavy ghost that walks with you, sits with you and suffocates you while you are trying your best to order your dinner.” That’s heavy. I felt for both her and me, because I felt that. Throughout this novel, the author seeks to use a version of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to get the reader to change their thought process. People do not have to always be great, or perfect then everyone else and God will love them. And so, if they fail, they are not worthy of love. But throughout each chapter, the author systematically works to educate what the reader may not realize about their thoughts and then re-frame it.
