Özet

When Ben Murdock receives a text message offering a fully operational starship for sale, he’s certain it has to be a joke.

Already trapped in the worst day of his life and desperate for a way out, he decides to play along. Except there is no joke. The starship is real. And Ben’s life is going to change in ways he never dreamed possible.

All he has to do is sign the contract.

Joined by his streetwise best friend and a bizarre tenant with an unseverable lease, he’ll soon discover that the universe is more volatile, treacherous, and awesome than he ever imagined.

And the only thing harder than owning a starship is staying alive.

If you like found starships, unlikely heroes, and intergalactic mayhem, you’ll love Starship for Sale, the latest sci-fi adventure from best-selling author M.R. Forbes.

I’m not with the other reviewers- I liked it a lot! It’s funny and a little bit weird which suits me, it’s not pretending to be mind-bending rock hard SciFi - character led and a fair number of cliches- but all good fun. I’m just going to buy the next one!!

Must be on my own

I tried to stick this one out but couldn't. I just found everything a bit meh (boring). The concept was one that has been tried before with more success. I do credit the author with picking a narrator who did really try to turn an average story into something more. But unfortunately that wasn't enough to hold my attention.

story 2 stars

This should have been marked as young adult/kid Sci Fi. it's something I would have loved as a teenager, but it's way too childish for 18+ audiences.

good performance, bad story

Nice piece of escapism which kept my attention. The main problem is only 2 of 5 books are available in audible format.

Enjoyable yarn

The narrative began at a measured pace; however, I soon found myself halfway through the book. The meticulous level of detail is exceptional. I recommend continuing with the book, as it significantly improves.

Slow to start. but brilliant
