THE ACCLAIMED, ENCHANTING FILM ADAPTATION STARS ROBERT DE NIRO, CLAIRE DANES, RUPERT EVERETT, MICHELLE PFEIFFER AND MANY MORE FAVOURITES...
'Beyond all the borders that divide us, there is a place of infinite possibilities and pure magic. I think of Neil Gaiman as a writer who wears the key to that land around his neck - the key to Storyland' ELIF SHAFAK
'Gaiman describes the indescribable' SUSANNA CLARKE
'A tonic for these turbulent times' IRISH TIMES

'I wanted to write a story that would feel, to the reader, like something he or she had always known' NEIL GAIMAN

At the dawn of the Victorian era, life moves leisurely in the sleepy village of Wall.
Young Tristran Thorn has lost his heart to the beautiful Victoria Forester and, to win her love, vows to bring her a star they see fall from the night sky.
It is an oath that sends him over the town's ancient wall and into the mysterious land of Faerie - a world that is dangerous and strange beyond imagining . . .

Eleştirmen yorumları
It's virtually impossible to read more than ten words by Neil Gaiman and not wish he would tell you the rest of the story
To give him his full title: Neil Gaiman, Architect of Worlds, Svengali of Plot, Shaman of Character, Exploder of Cliche, Master Craftsman of Style, Dreamer, Laureate of the Republic of Letters (David Mitchell)
Gaiman is, simply put, a treasure-house of story (Stephen King)
While we might come to his writing for gods and monsters, actually all human life
A god in the universe of story (Stephen Fry)
Much too clever to be caught in the net of a single interpretation (Philip Pullman)
Intimate, erudite and illuminating (Guillermo del Toro)
A very fine and imaginative writer
'Gaiman has a rich imagination...and an ability to tackle large themes'
Any additional comments?
I always enjoy Neil Gaiman and was happy to find one of his 'children's books for my daughter. Two sex scenes and the f word later and I think we can definitely say. While a fantastic fairy story it's not one for your eight your old to go to bed with. I have called Audible about their categorisation of this title.Brilliant Listen BUT

A lovely, light fairytale for grown ups and superior to the film. Thank you Mr Gaiman

Maybe I'm just a sop for a fairytale happy ending, or more of an action-driven reader, but it lacked a little something for me.
Gaiman is as always a fantastic writer and brilliant narrator, but it just wasn't my favourite.
Not as good as the film
