Carol J. Lively
Join Farmer C.J. and her farm animals as they enjoy the adventures of springtime at Lively Acres. Meet Clara Belle, the rescued dairy cow, and Steve the Bull, along with their many friends who share in the sights, sounds, tastes and smells that come from living on a little farm in the Appalachian Mountain foothills.
Written in classical form, young readers will learn and delight in the animal antics as they read about ducks dancing the waltz in the rain, a cow and bull becoming best friends, the dangers of roaming coyotes at night, and the “Happy Tree” that signals when it's time for everyone to settle into slumber. Springtime at Lively Acres also touches on the story of Easter and includes Bible verses throughout. This, the first of many storybooks by Carol J. Lively, is destined to be a family favorite for years to come.
