Brilliant narration from Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon

Hold onto your heart this one will pull at it. Denver is a firefighter but his past holds pain. He is a man who wants to find a family, a home the place that he is needed and belongs. One problem is road traffic accidents cause him to remember the pain of his past of the death of his parents. His team mates are is strength and when he is called out to a car accident they are there to help him and he finds his inner strength. He helps the passenger Sara. Afterwards Denver can’t stop thinking about Sara. Going to the hospital he realises Sara is alone. He knows he must stay and be there. Oh it is not easy for her. Facing months of recovery. Both helping each other, but also learning what they mean to each other.

A book full of emotions, drama and romance.

I love to sink my teeth in to a good story, and Samantha Christy gave me one with this listen! Out with her friend Anna, Sara ended up in a serious car crash. Her friend not surviving and her pulled from the car by Denver, a firefighter, she is put into a medical coma to help her head injury heal. Denver felt the need to be with her, by her side, talking to her and keeping her company as no one showed up for her. Yes he has baggage, and it leads to his need to be there and when she finally comes awake, he is in for a surprise. She has lost three years of memory. And the fun begins. Finding her boyfriend, trying to acclimate to her life as it was, and realizing who she wants to be. Where does it all go? I can't tell you that! Christy took me a journey of a man who found his reason and woman who had a second chance to be who she truly wanted. This is a fabulous listen, one that I was hooked on and loved every minute.

Teddy Hamilton narrates a majority of the story as Denver goes through his issues and feelings. Hamilton knows his character and makes him relatable and easy to feel his heart. Erin Mallon comes in part two as Sara as she finds her new normal and she brought all the feels. I love these two when they work together, it's always a pleasure for my ears. This is a fantastic narration.

BOOM...Yet again Samantha blows us out of the water with the second of the Men on Fire series.

Teddy and Erin certainly do justice to this one.

Denver has had so much tragedy in his life, and for those of you that have already read Stealing Sawyer, you will be familiar with his past (If not you really should, don’t know what you’re missing 😏). Through that tragedy his heart is set on becoming a firefighter, however much his heart may be in it, his mind is another matter.

Sara, she has so many battles to overcome. Will Denver be the one to help or make matters worse?

No spoilers here! Reading it is the only way to find out.
