Snitch is a fascinating story that offers a unique lens to view the #MeToo movement, inhabiting the mind of a female lawyer specializing in cases of sexual misconduct, by acclaimed feminist poet Olivia Gatwood.
Gianna Costa is an infamous attorney who has made a name for herself defending high-profile celebrities from sexual assault allegations. But what occurs in the private life of a woman who is known by some as a traitor to her own gender and others as a fast-pass to absolution? When a man from Gianna's past walks into her office looking for support, she is forced to reconcile with a memory she thought she'd left behind.
Electric and captivating, Snitch is a story of ambition, connection, and gender dynamics in our cultural moment.

This is an incredibly powerful story performed brilliantly by the author taking a fascinating perspective on a unique figure in the #MeToo movement. This is a cold burn that is bleakly uncomfortable written exquisitely that effectively uses the short story to provide a character study of a female lawyer representing the accused of sexual assault through a case she knows too much about with exploration of themes of constructed reality and self.
I wish I had the words and mind to say more, but I'm certainly left uneasy and captivated by the prose, and will definitely be seeking our more of this author's work.
Powerfully Uncomfortable (Complimentary)
