THE DEAD WEEP.
THE DEAD RUN.
THE DEAD HUNT
Humanity survived the first Weeping Plague only because a storm grounded flights and trapped ships in Ireland's harbours.
The apocalypse was quarantined—for now.
One breach could mean extinction.
Luck did not save the world, it just bought it time.
On the Aran Islands, Samantha Prendergast has the boat, the skill and the nerve to slip through the blockade and escape Ireland's doom—but her partner refuses to abandon others.
After witnessing the savage fall of Galway City, Samantha knows what the spreading sound of weeping means.
To save these people, she must become a monster.
As desperate survivors risk the Atlantic to reach Inis Mór, she joins the lifeboat crew to help.
But the islands are no refuge.
Supplies dwindle, tempers fray and guilt gnaws at Samantha for what survival has already cost.
On a rescue mission, she discovers a secret that all of Ireland will die to keep.
Once a person weeps, no words, no tears, no love can reach them.
When they weep, you run.
When they weep, you do what must be done—or you join them.
Damned if you do. Doomed if you don't. In the end, we all weep.
