From the best-selling author of the Haunted series.

It started like any other day, but then things turned...sinister!

For the residents of Meadow Lane, the terror began unobtrusively. A comet in the sky. A missing pet. But then those other things happened...Evil, horrific things.

For Sophie Cooper, the day began like any other. Only today isn’t just any other day. Today is her 21st birthday, and life as she knows it is about to change forever.

A novel of the old school. Written beautifully with descriptions that engage the reader. The characters are believable and well thought through. Those who thought it slow are too used to the sound bite writing prevalent in today’s age. I found the tale suspenseful and enjoyable. I cannot wait for the continuation of the saga.

A thoughtfully crafted story.

First can I say, the narrator's were brilliant, really brought the story to life.
I found myself cringing in parts, cringing and holding my breath in others.
It had everything you could want, from witches to supernatural, to situations that made you wonder if, every single person was involved in some way, and only Sophie was on the outside of it all.
I can't wait for the next book. I sincerely hope it is accompanied by the audio book, because for me, the narrator's really made an impact.

Fantastically speechless

On Sophie Cooper’s 21st birthday everything for her is about to change!
What evil horrors are unfolding and why does Sophie seem to be at the centre of it all?
I did find this story a bit slow to begin with and the whole thing was somewhat drawn out and it does get weird towards the end.

An unusual but interesting story but I’m not sure I’d follow it on to the next book which I suspect you’d need to do to answer the questions you’re left with.

Narration was good.
