This is the latest in a very epic tale, but whilst I can understand that many authors want to keep the tales going, the recent books have just seen the story stretched out so much that the pace is too slow to hold your attention. A real pity.

Following this entire saga, I'm calling it quits. I love that we are following different characters and exploring their stories, getting to know them better. But after the last book,

I wanted to hope for more. But nothing really happens that I feel changes things.

It seems more like a book about logistics then a space opera that I originally followed the story for.

I loved the older books for space battles, marine battles, empire bulding and even the dynamic between Vlad and Nathan. But it seems the great story we follow has become fillers.

I hoped for this series
