Betrayed by the love of her life at 16, causing her to flee her home, Amber Daniels’ taste in men hasn’t improved over time. With a bitter divorce under her belt, she returns home to support her sisters and dying mother.

It takes one day before she finds herself in trouble with the local werewolves and being rescued by her childhood crush. One hot look and the pain returns...overshadowed only by the desire. But Amber’s older, wiser, and unwilling to be burned, yet again.

Desmon Nightwind was an angry youth the night his world exploded and he lost his mate. Now pack alpha, he’s no longer an untried teen, but still wholly unprepared for Amber’s return to Hollow Mountain. He lost her once. No amount of pack politics, family strife, or alpha obligations will make him let her go a second time.

He’ll do whatever it takes to claim and protect his human mate. Even battle neighboring wolves using anything at their disposal to start a war. They don’t fight fair...and neither will Desmon.

I think this book is better than the first in this series. There is plenty of action, good descriptions, strong sex, okay dialogue. The only downer is our female hero she is very predictable and rather deaf to sensible actions, shame.

Good book

Story and narration great. On seeing previous reviews that date back years thought audible would have sorted out the recording, but they haven't which is a shame. Spoilt it a bit with the gaps.!!

Great story, shame about the recording

I really enjoyed this book, it's a brilliant story, packed with the right amount of action, sex, family drama and love. The pace was brilliant slow enough to enjoy and quick enough to keep me enthralled and listening

Awesome

I really liked the VLG series by Dohner that’s why I decided to buy this audiobook but I can’t say I enjoyed listening to it. It’s not good, I regret the spent credit and will not buy any of the audiobooks from this series

Not good
