This is a superhero story without heroism in effect, except for having the bravery to look at oneself and reflect, which is of course a good message. However the opportunity for a real adventure seems to have been missed as this story wraps up in a neat little package and the attraction between the characters is obviously easily overcome in the end.
Loved it while listening except one of the main characters had a voice too deep for the narrator's comfort zone, and up until the ending I felt was unfinished.

Some of this felt like polemic. It had a point, but it felt blunt, and that the story was window dressing. It was difficult to empathise with the main characters as presented.
I have nothing against Abby Craden in particular, but I feel that she is the narrator of such a large proportion of content within my genre's of interest that I might be becoming oversaturated with her creamy, breathy, deliberate delivery.
