“My favourite series of all time” Goodreads review

Powerless meets A Court of Thorns and Roses in this stunningly romantic dystopian YA fantasy.

A fragile young teenage girl is held captive.

Locked in a cell by The Reestablishment – a harsh dictatorship in charge of a crumbling world. This is no ordinary teenager. Juliette is a threat to The Reestablishment's power. A touch from her can kill – one touch is all it takes.

But not only is she a threat, she is potentially the most powerful weapon they could have. Juliette has never fought for herself before but when she’s reunited with the one person who ever cared about her, the depth of the emotion and the power within her become explosive …

Great story but narrators voice is a little annoying sounds like she’s trying to appeal to 12 year olds. Overall though the book is good with a great storyline if u can get past narrators voice

Great book bad narration

The story and premise were pretty decent and what kept me listening to the end. I found some of the romance forced and difficult to listen to, but appreciate that as a 43 year old woman, I may not be the target audience (although I do enjoy other YA fantasy). However, what really ruined it was for this dystopian, moral quandary-ing examination of good, evil, human nature and life, death and survival, for some reason audible decided to cast Tommy Pickles as the narrator.

Maybe read the book instead?

I don't really know what to feel yet... It's very interesting, but somehow really intriguing.

Very interesting, excited to see the character development

The way the story developed. Juliette, Adam & Kenji are a great group. Can’t wait to listen to book two.

the narrator was irritating and screechy (sounded like a 3 year old) and it entirely ruined the book. the book plot was very good though.

Awful narrator
