Stan Weir is mourning a tragic loss when he meets a mysterious nine-year-old girl, who claims to be the reincarnated spirit of his late wife. Marcy Keef is a single mother trying to make ends meet when her daughter Erin starts describing 'past life memories'. Neither wants to believe Erin, but as violent secrets are revealed, the truth becomes harder to deny.

With echoes of Stephen King, Second Skin is a propulsive thriller about grief, guilt and truths better left unknown.

This is an incredible story... I was spell bound from beginning to end. As a long haul trucker it made the miles disappear

I did enjoy this book but it left me unsatisfied. I think the ending was rushed and the little girls character slightly far fetched! Either that or she was very bright for her age, as well as needing some kind of therapy! I will look at more books by the author as I feel he is definitely on to something with his writing! 😀

Engaging but had so much more potential!

Quite nice to find a short 4 hour listen. A lot of novels tend to be 20+ hours these days. I wasn’t expecting much, just something to keep me entertained whilst I did the housework but actually it was good. Kept me guessing and was pretty enjoyable. Not amazing but pretty good and I always appreciate a good book, especially when free so thanks to the author and to Audible

Free and easy to listen to

The first three quarters were very good, disappointing ending. The idea was good and original, but I felt like the author had painted herself into a corner, and hadn't planned the ending in advance. Some of the things that happened aren't likely, given the ending and the age of the characters.

1st three quarters very good, disappointing end
