WINNER OF THE HUGO AWARD FOR BEST ALL-TIME SERIES

The Foundation series is Isaac Asimov’s iconic masterpiece. Unfolding against the backdrop of a crumbling Galactic Empire, the story of Hari Seldon’s two Foundations is a lasting testament to an extraordinary imagination, one that shaped science fiction as we know it today.

The First Foundation has been defeated, crushed by the formidable mental powers of the Mule. But whispers of the mysterious Second Foundation, the only hope of defeating the Mule, are beginning to spread…

Surviving members of the First Foundation also fear the secret powers of the Second Foundation, vowing to find and destroy it. However, the location of the Second Foundation remains shrouded in mystery. Finding it will lead the Foundation to the opposite end of the Galaxy, where the fate of Seldon’s two Foundations awaits.

Always loved this book from when I first read it - many years ago. For my money this is where the Foundation saga really took off. Extremely well read - with the voices just as I imagined.
I hope Audible brings out more in this series.

The story is sound and well thought out but is seems that there are really big areas where there was little or no thought put in. I know this is probably unpopular but it is true whatever the book achieves, and it achieves a lot, it really falls flat and i was left feeling i had half a good book.

The general story is interesting and engaging the concepts the books covered are far better documented than i can do here but the problem i had was while listening to this great massive galactic tale was how uninspired society was. I have read a lot of "Golden" or classic sci fi call it what you will but no thought had been given to society. Sure over the books we see changing influence of commerce and region and commerce but nothing about people within. Women are still minor beings, so give up now girls because does not look like you have much luck in the future other than crying and looking pretty for the hard working men.

Most of the technology just add the word atomic in front of it atomic car, atomic ash tray etc Although we are shown the inspiration to the Holophonor from Futurama ( a particular well written part of the book)

I would still recommend reading this book and it is better than the first in the series and i will complete the rest of the series and i said the story is sound and engaging.

Great at what it does well but....

After so many decades one of the best sci-fi writing of all times. Gripping story that you’ll swallow in hearthbeat.

Amazing story

Part 1 definitely stronger than Part 2, but a good end to Part 2 brought it up to standard. Good narration as ever.

Another great installment
