The key to saving humanity—or dooming it—is in the hands of the enemy.

Veteran mech operator Sergeant Major Shaw spent his career fighting huge monsters known as Sentinels. He never expected that he would be piloting them.

But as a new war unfolds, Shaw finds himself and his team using this unorthodox technology in a desperate attempt to save the New World Republic from destruction. The Principality of the Seven Sons has control of an ancient Progenitor dreadnaught rumored to have the power to enslave and destroy empires. No one is safe.

Not even Shaw and his Deadmen.

The Principality has resurrected the worst of the Progenitor weapons, infecting entire planets with a bio-engineered disease called the Scourge. With the Scourge and the dreadnaught poised to destroy the NWR, the fate of mankind is dark.

There is only one hope for survival. One mission so dangerous, so impossible that only a single team is suited for it. The Deadmen.

Pacific Rim meets Starship Troopers in Scourge, the third book in the Deadmen’s War series.

The Deadmen's War series is now performed by Mark Boyett, narrator of the bestselling sci-fi series Undying Mercenaries.

The change of the narrator is not bad at all.
Mark’s performance is as always great.

The story and the drama/action is top quality.
The team managed to pull the impossible and they survive. A refreshing change from some other more dark novel that Mark is narrating.

I am going straight to the next one.

Excellent. Going straight to the next one.

whilst it was great to hear the creator of The New Men again, even though he u covered himself slowly through the chapters, it's always jarring to change the narrator part way through a series. Still, a fine time was had by all - another great book and great performance.

You cha GED the Narrator?!?!?!?!

struggled to finish. The change of narrator really changed the feel. story just got lost. Characters all sounded the same. killed the series for me.

change of narrator, just ruined it for me.

Tried a couple of days, but can’t engage with the material after the change. Probably nothing wrong with the narration, but it feels wrong after getting to know the characters through another voice.
