This book is a masterclass in dual-timeline suspense, seamlessly see-sawing between eras with exceptional storytelling. Kinsley possesses a rare gift for characterisation, crafting believable individuals that instantly hook the reader.

We are quickly introduced to Tommy Henthorn, a man suffocated by life's frustrations, striving to be a good father to his son, Adam, while navigating a fraught relationship with his estranged wife, Gail.
So when Adam turns up dead, Tommy is immediately arrested, and his personal nightmare begins.

As DI Canfield takes a look back on this 'cold case' he finds more questions than answers.

An enjoyable read.

My third Erin K book and just as brilliant as the others, superb narration too, so well written, you actually lose yourself in the book and can I picture everything & everyone, that always tells me how good an author is. Highly recommend.
