The first semester is ending. It's time to take on the Tower!

The excursion was a mess. Sal's trust in his team is at rock bottom from the actions of another in the final fight. He now needs to enter the Tower and fight demons with the same person who betrayed him.

As if that wasn't enough, he's pretty sure the former Super-Rookie and wonder kid on his team is actually a ticking time bomb, just waiting to explode.

Faced with the accusation that he's squandering his power, Sal is forced to question what type of Hero he wants to become. He's already pushing the limits of Mythcrafting, but if he's to really live up to his potential, it's time for him to focus on the ability he was born with: Skill Master.

The first semester is coming to an end, and the race to become a part of the Saviour class is on. With only a short amount of time to prepare for the Tower, Sal will need as much help as he can get to have a chance of success.

It's time for Sal to start creating a whole new weave...

Narrated in duet style.

I love how it's very fast paced with much action, but focused enough that it keeps giving room for worldbuilding, intra and interpersonal communication and buckets of character development. There are enough seeds that could be either foreshadowing, or total red herrings for later development. If you have three credits, get this series.

Excellent arc/semester finish.

Brilliant like all the books before it in the series.

The third book in the Quest Academy saga is intense, with huge battles and really interesting character interactions and motivations. I'm really impressed how not all of the characters are white hats, there are some brilliantly flawed characters who never feel insincere or over the top. The main cast are brilliant and the dialogue between them feels genuine and is often intense and amusing. Can't wait for the fourth book!

An epic slownburn
