Xander
I’m drowning in grief, anger, and whiskey. Haunted by my father’s murder and what could have been. No matter what I do, my demons never stop pulling me under. Then I meet Quinn Summers, a beautiful ray of sweet sunshine. Her innocence ignites an obsession I can’t control.
She’s everything I should stay away from. The last thing I want is to tarnish one of the only good things left in this world. But the more I fight it, the more she becomes my reason to breathe… my reason to live.
Quinn
I’m barely keeping my head above water while living a not-so-glamorous life in the city of sin. Three jobs. An apartment with no furniture. A mother in a recovery center I can’t afford. At least I’m free, and safe, and in control. Sort of.
Then Xander Savage walks into my life–older, broken, and obsessed. He makes me feel protected in ways I’ve never experienced. I see him struggling, though, and I’m terrified that the darkness he’s fighting might be the one thing that will end us before we even get to begin.

This is the second book of Kate's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Xander and Quinn. I loved getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Savage Ties to be released on audio so I can get Kian and Ace's story.
Robert and Raven did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you're looking for an age gap romance, billionaire romance, stalking romance, or a daddy kink romance.
