I loved every chapter. This type of story line is never an easy to write where close friends cross the magic line. There's no going back once crossed x

Safe Haven is a sweet, low‑angst friends‑to‑lovers romance set in a cosy small town. Ryker and Willow are both in their thirties and already have an easy friendship, and watching that shift into something more is gentle and satisfying. Ryker’s a retired hockey‑player‑turned‑rancher and Willow’s an audiobook narrator, and I liked the small ways he supports her work.

Willow’s role as guardian to her 15 year old nephew Aiden gives the book real heart. His growth throughout the story is lovely to see, and the way Ryker fits into their little family feels natural and warm. There’s a secret tattoo and a hero who quietly falls fast.

Overall, it’s a comforting, low‑drama read with a strong focus on family and friendship.

I enjoyed the dual style narration, both voices fit the story and characters really nicely.
