Narrators should be able to do more than two accents for a country. I'm a proud Englishman and we have a multitude of accents from Geordie in the north, past Mancunian, Brummie, Fens, London, to Somerset.

This narrator can do two.
Downton Abbey Posh and Dick Van Dyke Cockney.
Irrespective of what the character was, one of these was trooped out. As a large part of this story is based in London, it got very disturbing.

Good Story, Shame about the terrible Accents.

The voice range of the narrator is limited, and the attempts to distort voices for phone / radio calls was unnecessary.

Great story, okay narration

This was my second time with this book, read it the first time and then listened to the audio book, the story is excellent as you would come to expect but the narration did not do it for me, hence the performance score.
I'm from Wales in the UK so I'm aware of the various dialects across the UK, this narrator seems to think EVERYONE speaks with either a posh accent or the American version of a cockney accent (think Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins and you'll get my drift).
Personally I recommend you read this book it's a brilliant action story and leave the audio book alone.

In my opinion the story line was definitely Cussler but the execution missed by a country mile. Did Clive Cussler actually compose this book?

the story was great, however my only criticism was that the British accent was less than expected.
