The Hive Mind is evolving. So are Ash and Roq. Ash and Roq have carved out a name for themselves by helping to defend their home and the people of Dawnwatch. They’ve created a party strong enough to survive whatever Riftside throws at them and built a home worth fighting for. It might be safe for now, but beyond the rift, the Hive Mind prepares to win the war at any cost. With the nobles beaten and the forge safe, Ash sets his sights on his party's true enemy. He knows they need more power and time, which means he'll have to go out and hunt the red-tagged monsters threatening Sentinel Station and its adventurers. With Roq’s breakthrough, he has regained memories from his previous life. Now he and Ash finally know who and what their enemy truly is. Ash and his party must hunt bigger, forge deeper, and hit harder, because the Hive Mind is watching. And learning. If you love Primal Hunter, He Who Fights With Monsters, or Ultimate Level 1, it’s time to return to Riftside.

really enjoying the series and I'm going to continue it, but it could lose 20% and be a way stronger story. it repeats the same beats as earlier books ("we should wait until marriage", the monster carcass dissection mad libs of describe body part+random armor piece, a few others). the main down side is the author isn't great at describing long fight scenes. the big finale dragged on and on and was so boring, which is a shame since I enjoyed most of the rest of the book.

great cast of characters, enjoying the new members, didn't see some of the twists coming and am overall having fun.

fantastic work on the audio, the characters are all so well voiced!

pretty good but the end got boring

the interactions between the main cast makes me laugh all the time
and how ash is one upping the main branch

the fact everything feels natural sure it's fantasy but it feels like normal

I enjoyed the story, the progression of roq and arclight and the twist that occured there. also liked the final arc, unfortunately it ended on a cliff hanger, so maybe this part of the story could have been carried over to the next part of the story.
still enjoyed it though.

great story shame the story ended on a cliffhanger

Ash and Roq and the group defend Dawnwatch against the mindhive. This is an epic adventure and struggle to defend and protect the town. The hivemind continues to evolve while they fight monsters. Roqs memories continue to return making him vengeful and seeking revenge.
Thus book is intriguing and a must read in my opinion. Thank you to the awesome voice actors that narrated this book. They truly brought this book to life for me and I am grateful!
