Isabella

After a humiliating breakup, I’m not afraid to admit my personal life has taken one hell of a hit.

I’ve allowed myself time to lick my wounds and I’m not only confident my nights alone on the couch are numbered, I’ve got a solid plan for the first time in months. Focus on work, don’t worry about the rest. The last thing I need in my life right now is another complication. I’ve convinced myself it’s a flawless plan.

I just have to stay off Adam Avery’s radar and I’ll be fine. Now that I’ve met him, I’m not sure I want to be anywhere else.

Adam

I’ve been my father’s best kept dirty secret for more than three decades.

When my uncle, the CEO of Avery Finance, is forced into early retirement, he appoints me as his unlikely successor and the media goes into a frenzy.

For an admitted recluse, it’s definitely a challenge, but I’ve never shied away from those before.

I just need to stay focused, in control and avoid distraction. Unfortunately, Isabella Baxter might be the one distraction I can’t resist.

This is a very hot novella that will have you hot in no time. Kate does a great job with the storyline and the story does not feel rushed in this short novella. Zachary does an excellent job with the narrative!

I can easily relate to Isabella. What can go wrong, will. She spills coffee, on no other than her new boss. Great first impression. That is just the beginning to Isabella and Adam's story. Adam falls into the position, he never really wanted in the first place. Both Isabella and Adam are determined to stay focused with no distractions. Well that fails after the first bump. I was hooked from the beginning and I was left wanting more. I really enjoyed this steamy, budding romance and cannot wait to jump into the next installment.

Zachary Zaba enhanced the experience of this story. He has a great voice to listen to. I easy got lost in his narration. His female voices are smooth and not forced. It was easy to follow the characters as Zachary kept their voices consistent and distinct. Overall, this was a great performance.

A short story jammed packed with goodness

Looking forward to the next book as I feel like these two characters have only just begun their relationship. Good chemistry. Enjoyable storyline.

A novella it may be, but believe me when I say Kate Benson definitely knocks it out of the park with this one and narrator Zachary Zaba has one sexy voice, one I could definitely listen to all day!!

I loved Adam and Isabella's chemistry it totally heated up between the pages. Adam has a little arrogance around him to begin with but Isabella soon breaks that down. You can't help but hope Adam and Isabella find a way to be together, and if you've read The Promise Series then you most definitely need to read Redemption!

Fabulous!!

This was a quick, exciting start of what seems to be a really sexy, hot steamy affair between Isabella and her boss Adam. Excited to see where things go between them.

This is my first time hearing Zachary Zaba preform and it was great but I wished for more distinction between the characters. But I’m spoiled by dual or duet narration.

Still really enjoyed it and can not wait for the next book.
