'Jack Carr is the real deal' ANDY MCNAB
'Seriously good' LEE CHILD

You think you know James Reece. Think again.

A storm is on the horizon. America’s days are numbered.

A Chinese submarine has gone rogue and is navigating towards the continental United States, putting its nuclear missiles within striking distance of the West Coast.

A rising Silicon Valley tech mogul with unknown allegiances is at the forefront of a revolution in quantum computing and Artificial Intelligence.

A politician controlled by a foreign power is a breath away from the Oval Office.

Three seemingly disconnected events are on a collision course to ignite a power grab unlike anything the world has ever seen.

The country’s only hope is a quantum computer that has gone dark, retreating to the deepest levels of the internet, learning at a rate inconceivable at her inception.

But during her time in hiding, she has done more than learn. She has become a weapon, positioned to act as either the country’s greatest saviour or its worst enemy. She is known as ‘Alice’, and her only connection to the outside world is a former Navy SEAL sniper named James Reece who has left the violence of his past life behind.

With the walls closing in, James Reece is on a race to dismantle a conspiracy that has forced America to her knees in the latest high-octane page-turner from the ‘hottest author on the thriller scene today’ (The Real Book Spy), #1 New York Times bestseller and former Navy SEAL Jack Carr.

Eleştirmen yorumları

PRAISE FOR JACK CARR:

'A propulsive and compulsive series. Jack Carr’s James Reece is the kind of guy you’d want to have in your corner. A suspenseful and exhilarating thrill-ride. Jack Carr is the real deal' Andy McNab

'This is seriously good . . . the suspense is unrelenting, and the tradecraft is so authentic the government will probably ban it – so read it while you can!' Lee Child

'With a particular line in authentic tradecraft, this fabulously unrelenting thrill-ride was a struggle to put down' Mark Dawson

'Gritty, raw and brilliant!' Tom Marcus

'So powerful, so pulse-pounding, so well-written – rarely do you read a debut novel this damn good' Brad Thor

'Carr writes both from the gut and a seemingly infinite reservoir of knowledge in the methods of human combat. Loved it!' Chris Hauty

'A powerful, thoughtful, realistic, at times terrifying thriller that I could not put down. A terrific addition to the genre, Jack Carr and his alter-ego protagonist, James Reece, continue to blow me away' Mark Greaney

Definitely a nod to Bond throughout this story, and who could blame him. Roll on Book 8 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Love it

Great book. A different journey than the last six, which I think compliments the evolution of James Reece well. Loved the call outs to 007. Can’t decide who I prefer more, Bond or Reece, but I think they both have their own styles that are appealing. Great book.

007 Undertones

I’m finding the stories are getting a bit into James Bond/Mission Impossible territory and need to get back down to earth. This Alice/AI thread is a bit hokey and the visions of his dead wife and daughter are getting a bit much, especially when they actually form part of the narrative and affect an event as if their comments are real. Blaming himself all the time for the various attacks where friends and family get hurt is also getting tedious, as are friends and families assertions that it’s “not your fault”. They need to get back to the world of the first 3 or 4 novels otherwise I may stop reading them as I like the action/fiction genre but I’m not really in to action/fantasy like JB/MI.

Getting a bit Mission Impossible.
