From the New York Times best-selling author of the Gray Man series comes a startlingly realistic novel of World War III.

A desperate Kremlin takes advantage of a military crisis in Asia to simultaneously strike into Western Europe and invade east Africa in a bid to occupy three rare Earth mineral mines that will give Russia unprecedented control over the world's hi-tech sector for generations to come.

Pitted against the Russians are a Marine lieutenant colonel pulled out of a cushy Pentagon job, a French Special Forces captain and his intelligence operative father, a young Polish partisan fighter, an A-10 Warthog pilot, and the commander of an American tank platoon who, along with his German counterpart, fight from behind enemy lines.

Through grand land, sea, and air battles to a small unit fighting hand-to-hand in the jungle, Russia and the US face off in a terrifying but thrilling battle for world dominance - with constant the threat of a Russian nuclear detonation ever present.

The depth of knowledge that has gone in to writing this book is apparent in every chapter!
Great characters, with such depth and links it will have you hooked from the start!
I bought this as a modern day Red Storm Rising! It’s so much more!
One downside was the lack of British support! A glaring omission from the book! British Force have a presence in every theatre included in this book!

Modern Day Combat at its best!

The build up is slow initially, but eventually doesn’t stop with the action as it darts around locations.

What made me sad finishing it was the realisation that that America has gone now… Tump would roll over to the Russians now and abandon allies. Sad times.

Great story, but it made me sad for what we’ve lost

This book is like RSR but for any buff like me who knows a bit about military history and technology, … and geography, it’s like a Marvel version of a world war drama. It’s a great read and you will be engaged till the last chapter, but you have to close one eye on some assumptions about timescales, geography and some type of weapon systems capabilities.

Well written and engaging book but…

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Full of action & tactics. My favourite read is Tom Clancy’s Red Storm Rising and this is in the same ballpark. Not as detailed but certainly a great story.

I shall look forward to the follow up up cos that’ll be coming for sure.

Great yarn
