I'm a new Alpaca owner. I needed to know EVERYTHING! This book was fantastic. Easy to read. Organized. Super helpful. I would definitely recommend this one if you are new to alpacas and llamas.

Good Guide

This audible covers the very basics of keeping chickens, pigs, cows, goats, donkeys, horses, llamas, alpacas, and backyard birds. Although the work covers a lot of subjects, it is only a minimally helpful concern, as it doesn't go into great detail. I thought that it was strange that the text included a long chapter on attracting backyard birds.

A minimally useful resource audible.

This book provides great guidance for managing llamas from birth through adults. We saw just about everything the book describes/discusses as we have raised and managed llamas.

Bought this looking for more tips for our future farm. No information about sheep in the audible although there is a scenery of one on the cover. However, there is a songbird section… in a work titled Raising Farm Animals…

Sheep on the cover, no sheep in the audible

If you're darting for a guide on raising farmstead animals, I suggest you start by penning down all the animals you're interested in and then researching them all individually. Compilation audible like this barely scratches the surface of what you need to know about each animal.

Does not cover sheep
