Translated into over 30 languages, Ragdoll is a rocket-paced serial killer thriller with twists and turns you won't see coming. You will not be able to stop talking about this book.

A body is discovered with the dismembered parts of six victims stitched together, nicknamed by the press as the 'Ragdoll'. Assigned to the shocking case are Detective William 'Wolf' Fawkes, recently reinstated to the London Met, and his former partner Detective Emily Baxter.

The Ragdoll Killer taunts the police by releasing a list of names to the media, and the dates on which he intends to murder them. With six people to save, can Fawkes and Baxter catch a killer when the world is watching their every move?

I really enjoyed this one. Gruesome plot, macabre even at times this races on until the conclusion which is thrilling and has a most dramatic backdrop. I think it's worth saying up front that it won't be everyone's cup of tea. Like most serial killer plots it is a bit fanciful at times and the characters are not exactly genre-busting in their creation. However, the book signals very clearly early on just what you are getting and stays true to the ground rules that it sets itself.

Andrew Wincott gives a very convincing performance behind the microphone saving his very best for the closing scenes. A lot has and will be said about this book but I have no hesitation recommending that it's given a chance. You'll soon know if it's not for you and you can return it having lost nothing. On the other hand if it does grab you at the start I don't think it will disappoint, you're in for quite a ride!

What a Ride!

Good story, some great funny lines, started well but the narrator ruined it. Silly voices, wrong inflection and pauses in the wrong places.

Dreadful narrator!

It was a gory tale of a serial killer who killed and made the parts into a ragdoll, hence the title. The audible version meant you could hear the black humour in the story.
I found it a really good story and listened to the book in two days.
Highly recommended.
